The initiative for a Medical student body for the Asian Congress of Neurological surgeons has been something which had me thinking as to how a society for Neurosurgeons could be helpful for Medical students and vice versa. However, it suddenly dawned on me that "Child is the father of man", And it seems that Medical students should be an integral part of the society.
One World, One Neurosurgery is a dream that WFNS has. These broad outlooks has to start from a young age. And only then would this outlooks continue.
The mistakes that people made over the millennia dividing us into countries and religions and getting us to fight on the streets continues in many of these elite doctors societies as well, in subtle forms. We must be above that and stand united with our hands together. And this would be possible when we draft young Medical students from all over Asia and they work together as a group without prejudices or egos.
The scope for research, exchange of students, programs to develop basic skills, knowledge is immense and I would like to laud Hira to take up and follow this initiative. I hope millions more join.
